Husky Oil Sunrise Project

Two plants of 30,000 barrels per day. Production of bitumen using Steam assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) Technology

Services offered

Polydisciplinary detailed engineering for the design and implementation of an industrial plant.

An advanced polydisciplinary engineering approach was used for the project development, taking advantage of the 3D PDMS Design System and TEKLA to execute the structural design. To optimize construction time, a modularization strategy was adopted for the pipe rack, which was divided into 42 modules designed with all construction, lifting and assembly details.

Each typical pipe rack module consists of six frames with a span of 6 meters and a height of 15 meters, with a total empty weight of about 37 tons. The modules are further divided into two functional subsections: the lower level is dedicated to the installation of piping, while the upper level houses the cable trays.

To ensure greater efficiency and speed of assembly, the connections between the modules are designed with bolted joints, enabling fast and safe installation.
